From January 9th to January 23rd, Galveston will celebrate its Fifth Annual Restaurant Week. Galveston has a number of great boutique eateries, and Restaurant Week is designed to highlight them. Participating restaurants offer their best fare at fixed prices during the week(s), allowing diners to sample more food for a cheaper price, usually ranging from $10 to $40.
The great thing about Restaurant Week is that it’s open to public vote—and, needless to say, public enjoyment. No tickets or passes are needed. Restaurant Week participants just make a reservation at a participating restaurant during the period, and then eat! There will be a Restaurant of the Year competition, and diners can cast their votes for the winners.
The list of participating restaurants can be found here. Each has a text next to it for those who want to vote for it to win the best restaurant title. Some of the eateries participating in Restaurant Week include the Boulevard Seafood, The Brickhouse Tavern, Bubba Gump’s Shrimp, Eatcetera, Fisherman’s Wharf, Gaido’s, Galvez Bar and Grill, Landry’s Seafood, Little Daddy’s Gumbo Bar, the M&M, Nonno Tony’s World Kitchen, Number Thirteen, the Ocean Grill, Olympia at the Grill, the Pelican Club, Rainforest Café, and the Tremont Café.
Restaurant Week benefits charity. All participating restaurants have pledged to donate meals to help Access Care of Coastal Texas to give weekly lunches to its clients, assisting the nutrition of people struggling with several viruses and diseases.
