Did you know that eating four ounces of steak can provide approximately sixty-four percent of your daily protein requirement? Whether you enjoy your steak rare, medium well, or well done, the chefs at the following steakhouses near The Club of the Isles will prepare it any way you like.
Located at The San Luis Resort, The Steakhouse is known as one of the finest restaurants in Galveston. Since 2004, it has received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond award and other recognitions such as being named “Best Steakhouse on the Coast” by Texas Monthly magazine. Guests enjoy their meals in the elegant dining room that’s complete with leather furnishings, handcrafted mahogany woodwork, and plenty of lighting. The menu features USDA Midwest grain-fed beef and choices include Texas Bone-in-Ribeye, New York Strip, and Filet Mignon.
Named “Best Steakhouse” by the Galveston County Daily News, this restaurant’s pledge is to honor old legends while making a little history. Back in the 1800s, cowboys drove longhorn cattle to the Texas Gulf Coast each winter where they fed on rich coastal grass. When it was time to head to the market, they followed the Salt Grass Trail, which was well-known for producing the best beef in the state. The first Saltgrass Steakhouse still stands along the trail and today, all locations recapture the flavor of an open campfire and chargrill steaks to perfection. Choices include Wagon Boss Top Sirloin, Silver Star Porterhouse, and Maudeen’s Center-Cut Filet.
