For 10 years, Yaga’s has hosted chili cookers from around the country in a quest for the best chili. Returning on January 17th & 18th, the 11th Annual Chili Quest & Beer Fest promises to be the best one yet! Situated in the heart of the Historic Strand District, you won’t want to miss all the action.
Public Chili Sampling
From noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday the 18th, cook teams will be lining the six blocks around 23rd Street and Strand Street offering tastes of their regular and exotic chilis. With your sampling cup, you can taste as much chili as you can handle. You can even sign up to be a judge.
Craft Beer Fest
Located in the Top Gallant Room on the 3rd Floor of the League Building, craft breweries will be sampling over 100 of their best beers from 1-3 pm (starting at noon for VIPs) on January 18th. Tickets have sold out for the past seven years so advance purchase is a must.
Fun Run, Vendors, & More
If beer and chili aren’t really your scene, the festival still welcomes you to participate in the Beerfooter 5k fun run. You can also browse a selection of handmade crafts, home goods, jewelry, art, bar accessories, and clothing vendors. Other activities include a washer tournament and jackpot margarita contest in Saengerfest Park.
Chili Quest & Beer Fest Tickets
While the Chili Quest & Beer Fest is free, you can avoid the lines with the advance purchase of tickets.
