We’re always looking for new and fun activities for our residents at Club of the Isle in Galveston, Texas. One such activity that has recently become popular throughout the country is axe throwing. Just 30 minutes away from our apartments in Galveston is Axe Masters.
What is Axe Throwing?
If you’ve ever seen or participated in an archery event, you essentially know what axe throwing is. Of course, the big difference is that you’re throwing an axe overhead at the target instead of firing an arrow. Other than that, the goal is the same. You must strike as close to the bullseye as possible, the closer you are, the more points you receive. This can be done solo or in groups.
About Axe Masters
Axe Masters is one of the Houston area’s most well-reviewed axe-throwing venues. The location follows strict safety guidelines so you can feel safe as you practice your aim. Axe Masters does allow food and drink, including beer and wine to be brought inside. However, coaches keep a trained eye on those consuming alcohol to preserve the safety of others. There is a closed toe shoe policy, so you must either bring your own or rent a pair from the venue. Axe Masters is a participant of the World Axe Throwing League (WATL) and encourages sign-ups for any who are interested. Check out the rules and regulations here.
Axe Masters hosts several different events. You can book birthday parties, both for youth and adults. There are private events available for large groups such as corporate team building and wedding parties. Axe Masters also offers a mobile axe booth where they will take a portable axe throwing lane to your location.
