Galveston Island State Park

Galveston Island State Park is now open for day-use as well as overnight camping. The outdoor activities are endless: fishing, paddling, hiking, mountain biking, birdwatching, etc. You can also go geocaching or simply sit on the beach with an enjoyable book. Camping is now allowed with new safety guidelines in place. You can also bring your canoe or kayak and explore their paddling trails. There are no rentals available at the park.

Seawolf Park

Seawolf Park is situated on Galveston’s Pelican Island and is famous for fishing. Its pier is marked with spots six feet apart so you can enjoy the activity responsibly; the park also requires masks for everyone’s safety. The park also houses the Galveston Naval Museum, where you can tour WWII submarines-the USS Cavalla and the USS Stewart. The WWI tanker, S.S. Selma is also parked at the pier.

Seawall Urban Park

Seawall Urban Park is a ten-mile stretch of urban park along the Gulf of Mexico. It has the longest continuous sidewalk, which is perfect for walking, running, or biking. After getting exercise in the refreshing salty air, you can enjoy a delicious meal at one of many outside restaurants along the Seawall. You can pay for parking at the Seawall conveniently using a mobile app.
